ARTEC
2005
Introduction by the President
|
|
The
abundance of contemporary art makes it impossible to determine in which
direction art moves, and our guest of honour, Jean-Pierre Montaron, is a
perfect example of the diversity of modern art. He unites elements of the
abstract, realism, and neorealism and gathers all these approaches in a
concept which could be called "The home of oblivion".
The
works presented in this exhibition cover a wide field and represent
different aspects of contemporary art – without exclusion, but also
without complacency. We defend a unified concept which contributes to
showing the topmost quality with a view to a real democratisation of art
in the region.

The
Exhibition
|
|
The
ARTEC exhibition of contemporary art has existed since 1992. Every year,
some 100-200 works of art from all of Europe are gathered around one guest
of honour.
The artists are selected by a jury made up of representatives from the
world of art, academy members, artists, art galleries, journalists, and
the public.
Prices are awarded by the jury, the Administrative Council of Loir-et-Cher
and by the public.

autumn foliage, his acrylic paintings place the onlooker at the
centre of the event. He touches our senses, forcing us to feel as he
feels and see as he sees.
